The songs in the album, exclusively from the region of Yerzinga, were first recorded in 1952 by Guy, Roupen and Sue Chookoorian. The task undertaken to preserve them for posterity. The lyrics to nearly all the songs were composed by Roupen. The original masters were used in the production of this album and were enhanced utilizing today’s state of the art musical and recording equipment.
